Mrs.Kinney was a sister of the wife of Judge Keep. Mr. Kinney resided on that farm about four years, and near the dwelling of Judge Keep on the site of the present county poor-house. Mr. Kinney then disposed of his farm and purchased another in the valley of the west branch of the river, since owned by Abel Kinney (now owned by a Mr. Gallup), where he died in 1816. Mrs. H. F. Coon Dies; Sons in School Posts

MRS. HATTIE F. COON, 87, mother of two Syracuse public school officials, died today at Sunnyside health home after a long illness. The sons are Harold J. Coon, assistant superintendent of schools, and Leon H. Coon, principal of Central High School.
Born in Blodgett Mills, Mrs. Coon had made her home in Homer for 60 years before coming to Syracuse 10 years ago. She was graduated from Cortland State Teachers College, and then the Cortland Normal School, was the oldest living alumnus.
After graduation she taught in Woodbine Normal School, Iowa. She married to Hammill T. Coon, March 5, 1884, and they lived in Homer. Mr. Coon died in 1923.
MRS. COON was a member of the First Methodist Church of Syracuse. Surviving besides her sons are two grandsons, Ralph G. Coon of Beaver Falls, and Douglas H. Coon of Burlington, Vt.; a great-granddaughter, Carrie Sue Coon of Beaver Falls, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 P.M. Friday at the Laurence Van Dusen funeral home, the Rev. Dr. Albert L. Baner, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Homer.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. tomorrow."
